Introduction was made to the 110kV system grounding operation and the service condition of all-insulating transformers. This paper analyzed the overvoltage level of 110kV transformer neutral point. By researching the relevant standard information and combining formerly design experience, this paper proposed the solution to solve the problem of 110kV transformer neutral point overvoltage protection. The neutral point took the secondary relaying protection and arrester as overvoltage protection measures and the arrester parameters selection should be determined by the overvoltage level.
