The No. 6 stator assembly in Kainji power station, consisting of VPI stator bar, soft support ring, copper connection plate, con-nection plate and the copper ring, has VPI stator bar embedded structure without the soft support ring. This paper analyzed the ifeld instal-lation technology of the water-turbine generator set stator assembly and carried out research on practical problems on site, proposing the solution. The results show that the installation technology of this scheme is more concise, with less time, not easier to make mistakes than the conventional hard support ring structure stator assembly.
