我国自主外语学习相关研究起步晚、发展慢,其实践呈现僵化与异化的形态。从自主外语学习演进脉络来看,“有效性”是其根本旨趣所在,概念重构是理论发展的动力,自主外语学习概念可以重构为:顺应终身学习潮流,以“有效性”为旨趣,在现代教育技术支持下,由学习者自我决策并与教师协商实施的外语教学系统。彰显“有效性”应该成为自主外语学习实践与研究的方向。

Due to the insufficient researches on Autonomous foreign language learning (AFLL), it is not well practiced in China. By making an exploration of the development of AFLL theory and practice, “effectiveness” could be identified as its purport. Since conceptual reconstruction is regarded as the forerunner for theories, AFLL could be redefined as ‘the effectiveness-purported foreign language instructing and learning system which is implemented based on the learner’s self-decision and his/her consultative interaction with the instructor, assisted by modern educational technologies, and consistent with the trend of life-long learning”. To highlight “effectiveness” should be the orientation of AFLL practice and research.
