宫内生长受限（ IUGR）是围生期胎儿发病和死亡的主要危险因素之一，它不仅影响胎儿期的生长发育，而且也影响儿童期和青年期的神经系统和体格发育，并与成年后高血压病、冠状动脉粥样硬化性心脏病、糖尿病、肾病等心血管系统以及内分泌系统疾病密切相关。 IUGR损害认知功能的机制目前尚未完全清楚，主要涉及海马结构和功能的变化。

Intrauterine growth restriction(IUGR),one of the main dangerous factors of perinatal fetal disease and death,not only influences growth and development of fetal period,but also influences the nervous system and physical development of childhood and adolescence.Moreover,it is closely related to diseases of adult cardiovascular system and the endocrine system,such as high blood pressure disease,coronary heart dis-ease,diabetes and kidney disease.Cognitive dysfunction induced by IUGR refers to changes of hippocampal structure and function.Howerever,the mechanism is still unclear,which mainly involves changes in hipp-ocampal formation and function.
