Inherent safety ( IS) of chemical process was overviewed comprehensively, especially in aspects which were discussed in Inherent Safety Evaluation ( ISE) , the perspectives of chemical process inherent safety were concluded as follows: analyzing/evaluating methodology need to be developed, involving general and special aspects, and considering SEH impacts simultaneously, introducing the evaluating steps of fuzzy safety method. By means of hierarchical integration between IS technology with process synthesis/analysis method, it can be performed as a guidance methodology for IS process decision-making.
