通过对党的“十八大”以来，新常态下习总书记对党员领导干部的“三严三实”新要求的深入学习和理解，进一步认识到党性的重要性，她关联着党的作风，规范着党员行为，体现着党的形象，决定着党的命运。而党性修养的首要就是“严于律己”，文章从“严于律己”的内涵，方法进行了深入论述，给出了践行“严于律己”必须加强理论学习、思想政治修养、道德修养、能力修养、纪律修养、作风修养、品德修养这一途径，对党员干部提出了结合新经济形势下攀长钢公司实际，践行“严于律己”的新要求。
