为了满足远程教学、视频会议等新业务对Internet提出的更高服务质量(QoS)的要求,需要在网络中采用QoS技术.研究了网络中存在的QoS问题,以及QoS的服务模型.设计了一个典型的QoS原理实验,并搭建了真实的网络环境,详细阐述了实验过程. 实验中,把QoS应用于FTP传输中,分析了QoS应用前以及应用于不同端口时传输速率的变化. 实验结果表明,QoS策略能够保证高优先级数据的快速传输,成功地验证了交换网络中QoS的实现方法.

In order to meet the need of higher quality of service (QoS) for the new generation of Internet applications such as VoIP, video-on-demand and distance learning, we use the QoS technology in the network. We have studied the problems about QoS existing in networks, and the service models of QoS. A typical QoS principle experiment is designed. We elaborate the experiment process in a real network environment. In the experiment, QoS is applied to the File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and the transmission rate changes are measured and analyzed before and after applying QoS to different interfaces. The experimental results show that, QoS strategy can ensure the high priority data delivery and the implementation of QoS in multilayer switching network is successfully verified.
