美是一切艺术的本质和核心。人类创造音乐，音乐又影响或改变人的自身。从音乐的本质及功能来看，人在音乐审美感知活动中最主要的三个向度应是形式体验、生命幻象、文化体认。从音乐育人的角度来看，此三维向度各对应于人的感性素质、道德素质和人文素质。
