“改进美育教学”，首先改进学校美术课、音乐课或者艺术课的教学。美术教学，应该是培养学生视觉审美素质乃至人文素质的教育，包括色彩、造型、质地等形式审美素质和在形式构成中包含的情感、价值观、思想、思维方式等内容所反映出来的人文素质。从2015年8月全国第二届少儿美术教育学术展学生优秀作品的分析，可以透视学生视觉审美素质方面的潜质、能力和不足，为改进美术教学，乃至改进音乐、艺术和更大范围的美育教学，为美育质量监测和通过监测“提高学生审美与人文素质”，提供参考。

The improvement of aesthetic education must begin with the improvement of the teaching of painting, music and arts in schools.The teaching of painting can foster in the students a capacity for the appreciation of visual beauty and fine arts, which include colors, shapes and texture and the sentiments, values, thoughts and modes of thinking that are reflected in the forms.An analysis of the excellent works in the second national academic exhibition of children′s art education may reveal the the students′potentialities, capabilities and deficiencies in aesthetic appreciation, improve aesthetic education in music and painting and assist in monitoring the quality of aesthetic education and thereby enhancing the students′appreciation of beauty.
