The bromine content in crude salt influenced greatly the quality of downstream products and thus needed detecting accurately. Three methods of detecting bromine content in crude salt were introduced, i. e. ion chromatography, ion selective electrode, and spectrophotometic colorimetry. The three methods were compared and discussed through detection of representative samples. The results showed the three methods accurately determined bromine content in crude salt.
