With the rapid development of 4G networks and applications,distributed base stations keep increasing and the demand for fronthaul networks between BBU and RRU becomes stringent and urgent. Three novel optical solutions for mobile fronthaul wil be introduced and discussed,including WDM based solution,G.metro-based solution and low-cost high bit rate with low-class transceiver solution.
