Based on the manufactory prefabrication of the tube elements in immersed tunnel of Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge island & tunnel project, we introduced the open/close construction technology of large span self-stabilized transverse stretching steel applied to segregate workshop area and shallow dock area, expounded the hydraulic lifting system and U tube level posture monitoring system used for the transformation of support system. The actual engineering has been applied to open/close process of steel gate 13 times, it is safe and reliable, and has broad application prospects.
