This paper introduces the closed process optimization scheme of the fully mechanized caving faces of the extra-thick inflammable seams in Ta-Shan Mine of Datong Coal Mine Group. The optimization and innovation of the previous closed scheme can decrease the closed time and reduce the work amount. Meanwhile, it also ensures the effectiveness of the closed scheme. The optimized process can be promoted to the mines with similar production conditions.
