In China, crude oil is mainly transported by the long-distance heating pipeline; its fuel consumption cost is huge. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the operation of hot oil pipeline. In this paper, the current research situation of optimization of hot oil pipeline operation at home and abroad was discussed; and constraints and objective function for modeling and solving were introduced, the optimization model of hot oil pipeline was established, and the solution process was given.
