As the prerequisite of application of leak-before-break technology or the depth-in-defense design of the fracture prevention technology, the leakage detection system is significant to the security of nuclear power plant; in addition, it can enhance the economic performance of the nuclear power plant. The requirements upon leakage monitoring system in different versions of RG1. 45 are compared, the application and developing situation of the radioactivity monitoring methods for leakage monitoring system in nuclear power plants are introduced in detail, the standardized design process of the radioactivity monitoring method for leakage monitoring system is proposed.
