电动汽车以其“零排放”、“零污染”引起了世界汽车行业的高度关注。电动汽车的新电源有钠硫电池、锂电池、镍镉电池等；驱动电动机是电动汽车的心脏，它将电能转化为车轮的动能。相对传统内燃机汽车，电动汽车可省掉离合器、倒车档位、差速器等重要部件，结构更紧凑、操作更简化。
