The paper introduces technical characteristics of neutral point grounding via arc suppression coil and small resistance grounding;it expounds merits and demerits of each of the two grounding modes and analyzes their technical problems.The paper al-so analyzes correlation between the two modes and power supply reliability and indicates that small resistance grounding can not de-crease power supply reliability.Finally,the paper discusses reasons and consequence that small resistance grounding system protec-tion can not monitor high resistance grounding of lines;in addition,it presents corresponding solutions.
