深地质处置是一个国际共识的最终处置高放废物的方法,包括深部钻孔处置和深部矿山式处置。深部钻孔处置具有选址时间相对较短,对地表地质,水文条件要求相对较低等优点,是处理高燃耗乏燃料更合理的一个选择,也是处置多种燃料类型,运行期,半衰期组合更有效的一种处置途径。本文综述了深部钻孔处置的概念、方法及绩效评估。结合尤卡山核废料储存所,比较了深部钻孔处置和深部矿山式处置,并对其在中国核废物处理的应用提出建议,认为其具有较高的发展前景,是一项非常值得投资的技术。

Geological repository is an international consensus method for final disposal of high level radioactive waste, including deep boreholes disposal and disposal in mined repositories. Actually some countries are using mined repositories. They encountered some problems such as site selection, financial ,political and so on. Since 1990, the site selection is concentrated in Beishan, but this preselected area is belong to a famous tectonic metallogenic belt, if it were classified as high-level radioactive waste repository, the potential economic loss will be significant. We need a concept which is short time-wasting and low requirements for geological and hydrological conditions. The concept of very deep holes (VDH) was introduced by SKB in 1989,combined with the Yucca mountain nuclear waste repository ,illustrated the differences between deep borehole disposal and disposal in mined repositories . The deep borehole disposal is a reasonable option for higher burn-up spent fuel and an effective disposal route for many combinations of fuel types, burn ups, ages and container loadings.Although it has the only disadvantage which is irretrievability .But it is a very worthwhile investment technology.
