The anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) is mostly applied to biological treatment of wastewater.In recent years,advanced researches on the structures of anaerobic baffled reactor,its start-up modes and succession change of microbial-population in the reactor are carried on by researchers both in China and abroad.Meanwhile,ABR is applied to various kinds of wastewater treatment.The research results and shortage of ABR are summarized,and the research and application prospects about ABR are predicted.
