杜赞奇教授在晚清民国时期的社会背景下提出了国家经纪理论，以古典经济学的研究方法和工具对村庄社会中的乡村基层政治体制进行了有益的探索研究。在建国以后，随着国家权力在村庄社会内的一步步强化，村庄经纪走向了消亡。随着上世纪80年代末逐步建立起来的村民自治制度在广大农村社会中的确立，在国家权力逐步退出淡化的背景下，以村“两委”组织及其成员为代表的处于国家权力与村庄社会之间的中介组织及力量呈现出了明显的赢利型村庄经纪特征。相对于传统定义中的赢利型村庄经纪，再生于当前村庄社会中的赢利型村庄经纪除了具备赢利型村庄经纪典型的逐利性特征以外，还出现了诸多适应当前村庄社会环境，尤其是村民自治制度的新变化。

The professor Duara put forward the theory of national brokerage under the social background of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China , and studied the rural society in the rural grassroots political system by the methods and tools of classical economics . After the founding of the nation , with the strengthening of the state power in the village , the village brokers are dying . With the establishment of villagers'autonomy system in the vast rural areas , in the context of the withdrawal of the state power , the intermediary organization and power between the state power and the village society with the representative of the “two committees” of the village and their members present the obvious profit village brokerage characteristics . Relative to the traditional definition of the profit oriented village broker , the regenerated profitable brokerage has presented many new features . Besides , many new changes appear in the current village social environment , especially in the villager autonomy system .
