Respiratory diseases is a common and frequently occurring disease.In recent years,the existence of air pollution, smoking, industrial economic development, population aging has gradually increased the incidence and mortality of respiratory diseases (such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,lung cancer, pulmonary infection), resulting in huge economic and social burden.Pentraxin-3 (PTX-3) is a kind of acute phase protein, which has many biological effects.Recently, more and more studies have demonstrated that it is closely related to many kinds of diseases.This article will summarize the progress of PTX-3 in pulmonary diseases.
