The paper aims to offer a new perspective on the study of Tibetan and English culture through the analysis of the cultural connotations of “1 , 3 , 7 and 9” . The research shows that all of the four numbers mean “holiness , good fortune” and so on in Tibetan-English culture . Meanwhile , the odd numbers are deeply worshiped by both Tibetan and English native speakers , for both of them have the same mental worship of the odd numbers and they have much in common in terms of cognitive experiences and cultural experiences , moreover , they are separately influenced by their own religions .
