Dyeing and printing wastewater was one of the difficult treatment industrial wastewater, which was of large emission, high organic pollutants content, complex composition, deep color and hard biodegrade. It was difficult to reach the environmental and recycle requirement using conventional treatment method. Aiming at the imperative of textile dyeing and finishing wastewater treatment, the characteristics of various textile dyeing and printing wastewater were analyzed. The treating process and selection were described and the treating methods were also investigated. Finally, the development tendencies of treating wastewater and energy-saving and emission-reduction were pointing out.
