The establishment of the method for the assessment of the environmental risk of fertilization is of great im-portance to the recognition of the threats of fertilizer use on the ecological environment, to the reinforcement of the en-vironmental risk management and to the sustainable development of agriculture in China. This article discusses the method for the assessment of the environmental risk of fertilization, focusing on the design of models and the figuring of the parameters in them, in a view to improving the theory and methods to assess the environmental risk of fertilization.
