英汉状语是英汉语言中表达力很强的句子成分，在双语互译中容易出现理解和表达方面的偏差，因而在英语学习中对英汉状语进行对比分析十分必要。单个状语在位置上表现为一般状语位置和句子状语位置在中英文有差异，多个状语的顺序在英汉语的表现也有差异，同时状语也存在转化方面的差异性。因此提出对英汉状语的比较与翻译研究，有助于了解中英文化的差异性，从而更好的掌握中英两种语言的应用。

English and Chinese adverbials have a strong expressiveness and we tend to have difficulty in compre-hension and expression in the bilingual translation. Therefore it is essential to make comparative analysis between English and Chinese adverbials. There exist differences in the aspects of the position,the order and the transforma-tion of adverbials between these two languages. Thus,the study on the comparison between English and Chinese adverbials and the translation can help us understand the cultural differences and have a better command of the two languages.
