This paper briefly discussed the significance of surveying and mapping technology to engineering construction,combining with the ap-plication situation of surveying and mapping technology in engineering construction,analyzed the lack of resources and equipment in surveying and mapping process,low quality of surveying and mapping personnels and other problems,so as to ensure the reliability of surveying and map-ping data.
