电磁超声纵波速度接近于横波速度的2倍,当应用纵波对铝板等金属板进行大面积的厚度检测时,检测效率更高。为了提高电磁超声纵波换能器(纵波EMAT)在铝板厚度检测中的换能效率,研究了纵波EMAT换能机理,采用有限元仿真软件COMSOL分析了纵波EMAT的结构参数以及激励电流频率对其换能效率的影响。实验结果表明,纵波EMAT对铝板进行厚度检测精确度达到0.01 mm,电磁超声纵波能很好地应用于铝合金板材的厚度检测。

The velocity of electromagnetic ultrasonic longitudinal wave is close to the twice of the shear wave velocity ,when the longitudinal wave is applied to the thickness detection of the large area metal plate ,such as an aluminum plate ,the efficiency of the detection is higher .To improve the conversion efficiency of the electromagnetic ultrasonic longitudinal wave transducer ( longitudi-nal wave EMAT ) in aluminum thickness detection ,the transducing mechanism of longitudinal wave EMAT was studied .The impact of structural parameters of the longitudinal wave EMAT and the frequency of excitation current on its conversion efficiency were an -alysed by the finite element simulation software COMSOL .The experiment results show that accuracy of thickness detection a-chieves 0.01 mm by using the longitudinal wave EMAT to detect the aluminum plate ,and the electromagnetic ultrasonic longitudinal wave can be well applied to detect the thickness of the aluminum alloy material .
