ESP是指用于特殊专业的英语.这一概念是在20世纪60年代提出后,其理论发展得非常快,已经被广泛地应用于实践.我国特别重视英语教育,使这一理论发展得更加完善.高职教育主要培养的是专业型的人才,但是,我国高职的英语教育还没有划分专业,学生只是学习一些综合的英语知识.所以,为了让学生能够完善自身的专业英语学习,本研究采用问卷调研和访谈的形式,对我国几所不同的高职院校的英语教学情况进行调查.

ESP refers to the English used for special professions, which is proposed in 1960s. The theory develops very fast, and has been widely applied into practice. And China pays special attention to English education, which makes the development of this theory more perfect. Higher vocational education is a kind of higher education, mainly cultivating professional talents. However, English education of higher vocational education in our country has not professional classifications, and students just learn some comprehensive knowledge on English. So in order to let the students improve their professional English learning, this research is made in the form of questionnaire surveys and interviews, and English teaching situations in several different vocational colleges in our country are investigated.
