过去对新疆现代文学的研究往往把文学与政治（或意识形态）相剥离，以达到保持文学主体性和独立性的目的。然而在梳理新疆文学史的过程中发现：新疆现代文学产生发展的环境十分特殊，文学与政治有着密不可分的关系，在很多情形下政权更迭对文学起着不可缺少的促进作用，传统研究方法已不再适用。引入“民国机制”所主张的研究方法，能够帮助我们更好地还原历史现场，廓清新疆政治与现代文学的互动机制，拉近与文学、历史真相的距离。

Researches on modern literature of Xinjiang in the past usually separate literature from politics ( or ideology ) in order to keep the subjectivity and independence of literature .However , in the process of combing the history of Xinjiang ’ s literature , it shows that the environment of the occurrence of Xinjiang ’ s modern literature was very special , that literature was linked to politics so closely that in many occasions the regime changes had an indispensable acceleration to literature , in which case the traditional research meth-ods of Xinjiang ’ s modern literature were no more applicable .It would do better for restoring historical sites by bringing in the mechanism of the Republic of China , which could clean up the interaction mechanism be-tween Xinjiang ’ s politics and modern literature indeed , as well as get closer to the truths of literature and history .
