唐末，“黄巢起义”被镇压后李唐王朝名存实亡，各地藩镇势力迭相吞噬恶性火并。巴蜀地区的王建集团乘势而起，通过剽略利阆、窃夺西川、吞并东川、蚕食山南等一系列军事行动割据了巴蜀三川。唐末，巴蜀地区的政坛急剧动荡，各大势力集团殊死较量交互混战。与此期的川蜀时局背景相因应，巴蜀文人的行藏出处和聚合生态显得颇为复杂多元。

당말，“황소기의”피진압후리당왕조명존실망，각지번진세력질상탄서악성화병。파촉지구적왕건집단승세이기，통과표략리랑、절탈서천、탄병동천、잠식산남등일계렬군사행동할거료파촉삼천。당말，파촉지구적정단급극동탕，각대세력집단수사교량교호혼전。여차기적천촉시국배경상인응，파촉문인적행장출처화취합생태현득파위복잡다원。
At the end of the Tang Dynasty when “Huang Chao Uprising” had been suppressed, the Tang Dynasty ruled by the Li family existed only in name. All the local military forces fought and conquered one an-other. One military group led by Wang Jian in Bashu played tricks and took over Leelang, Xichuan, Dongchuan and Shannan with a series of military actions. In the end, he ruled Sanchuan ( Three Rivers: Jing River, Wei River and Luo River) separately in Bashu. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, there was serious political turmoil in Bashu. The major power groups combated with one another. Corresponding to the situation of this period in Si-chuan, the living and working places for literati in Bashu and the opportunity for their getting together seemed quite complicated.
