Estimating tightness is an important step in worsted fabric design, and it is also an important way to control the fabric quality. Double fabric is a popular variety currently on the market, it’s also a key point and a difficult point during the production of the worsted fabric. The methods of estimating the tightness coefficient of fabric textures which were in common use was discussed, based on this, some thinkings of worsted double fabric tightness coefficient estimation were proposed, three cases were discussed and illustrated how to apply these methods to the actual production.
