善待自己的学生,就是善待学校的未来.善待学生,对大学而言并不只是出乎情感,而是要制定目标、积极倡导、落实措施、合理组织、有效监督、正确评价,营造一个良好的软环境,一个平等、信任、宽容、进取的氛围,与学生建立相互信任的良好互动关系.在教育改革与创新方面,树立多元化人才观,采取多样化的培养方式,因材施教,为创新人才成长创造良好的环境及条件.善待学生,其内涵是对学生要在专业上严格要求,做人上悉心指导,为他们提供成长的舞台,使之获得发展的大环境.为此,学校的一切工作都应以学生为本,围绕学生展开;学校的人才培养目标、教育教学改革都应服从、服务于学生的身心健康和全面发展;应调动一切资源向学生倾斜,使所有教职员工都心里装着学生,做每件事都要从学生出发,努力为学生提供最好的服务.

Being good to students is to nurture the future for a university. Treating students well is not only an emotional concern for them, but indeed is to set up clear education aims, take concrete measures, have reasonable organizations, conduct effective supervision, make correct appraisal and create favorable academic environment for the students. We should build an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere for the interaction between faculties and students or among students. In terms of educational reform and innovation, we should establish a much diversified standard to justify talents, adopt diverse training modes, teach students in accordance with their given talents, and provide good environment and condition for the growth of their knowledge and innovative abilities. Being good to students connotatively means to ensure students'high-standard academic performance and take utmost care of their rules of conduct. Hence, all educational reforms in the university should be student-oriented and student-centered so as to support their healthy growth and integrated development. In sum, the priority should be given to students in regard to all potential resources of the university, in every circumstance of campus activities and in the mind of all faculty and staff members.
