越来越多研究表明,生酮饮食已开始用于癫痫以外的神经疾病的治疗.肿瘤细胞线粒体的缺损导致其不能利用酮体作为主要能量来源,生酮饮食能增加氧化应激作用,抑制信号通路传导,发挥抗肿瘤作用.此外,生酮饮食也能增加放化疗药物的抗肿瘤效应.生酮饮食在肿瘤模型和临床试验中表现出一定的治疗效果.

Recently, more and more studies have indicated that the ketogenic diet began to be used for neurological conditions other than epilepsy.Because of mitochondrial defectiong, tumor cells are unable to use ketone bodies as a primary energy source.The ketogenic diet exerts anti-tumor effect by increasing oxidatetivesress and inhibiting the signal transduction.Besides, ketogenic diet may also enhance the anti-tumor effect of radiation therapy and chemotherapies.The ketogenic diets in tumor models and clinical trials have shown therapeutic effect.
