清朝末期,广州因自身的优越地理位置和深厚的岭南文化基因,具备了首先发展女子职业教育的重要基础.在西方女学思想输入我国之后,广州发达的出版业与新闻业使其得到迅速传播,影响不断扩大.在教会学校的刺激和先进人士的推动下,女子职业教育的问题逐渐得到政府重视,在清政府从法律上认可女子教育的地位后,广州当局迅速响应,从而使官办女子职业学校与私立女子学校一起造就了女子职业教育的兴盛局面.

Guangzhou has an important foundation for women's professional education development because of their excellent location and deep Lingnan culture in the Late Qing Dynasty, After the input of the thought for Western female, Guangzhou's developed publishing industry and journalism which help the thoughts spread rapidly. Under the impetus of church schools stimulation and advanced people, the question of women's vocational education gradually caused government attention.The Qing government approved the status of women's education in law, and the Guangzhou authoritiesresponded quickly, so that the government-run women's vocational schools and private school for girls flourished at that time. .
