The ventilation is very important for reliable operation of the traction motor. The main methods of ventilation of traction motor was introduced, and then, the ventilation calculate method of traction motor in terms of calculation of air volume and wind pressure were researched. Finally, the feasibility of calculate method combine with test was verified.
