It is found that songs had the potential to change the atmosphere in the classroom and they might have a positive effect on the teaching activities. Songs can not only motivate the students but also fulfill other functions in English class. Songs can be used in various ways. They are good materials for listening comprehension, blank-filling exercise and discussions for further understanding.
