This article from the view of marketing, analyzes the city weakening the competitiveness in the economic devel-opment competition because of the lack of differentiation pos-itioning. The location should be based on the operation chara-cteristics of the audience mind, carry out four steps of city po-sitioning differences, aim at the optimization of city planning system, reduce the similar of city architectural style and repe-tition of industrial structure repetition phenomena.
