Objective To discuss the influence that different temperatures of water have on rust-removing effect. Methods Clean and disinfect the mental instrument before removing rust, pick out 360 pieces of them, the rust-effect degree of which is similar, divide them into three groups randomly, 120 pieces per group. Group one ( for experiment) puts them in water at 60 to 80 centigrade, group one ( for contrast ) puts them in water at 30 to 40 centigrade, group two ( for contrast ) puts them in ordinary water. All of these three groups deploy the rust-removing solution at the rate 1:10, soak them 5 to 10 minutes, and use soft rushes to scrub the instrument in solution. Compare the cleaning pass rate of these three different rust-removing methods. Results The cleaning pass rate of group one ( for experiment) is 98%, while that of group one ( for contrast ) is 82%, and that of group two ( for contrast ) is 79%. The difference between these two groups has statistical significance( p>0.05). Conclusion It is better to remove the rust on mental instrument by using the solution deployed from pure water at 60 to 80 centigrade at the rate 1:10.
