清华＂红区＂百年来的永续发展之道,在于始终坚持有机更新的基本原则。本文在对其发展脉络进行简要梳理的基础上,结合＂红区＂近十年来的建设实践,总结在具有历史意义的校园内进行建设所应遵循的设计策略,以期在当代中国校园规划建设已经进入对既有校园的更新完善发展阶段,以清华＂红区＂小规模、适时、谨慎更新的建设模式为当下实践工作的开展提供参考和借鉴。

Through 100 years’ development of the red-brick area in Tsinghua campus, the organic renewal as a basic construction principle has been insisted on. Based on the research of the evolution of this area, and 10-year practicing, the paper makes some suggestions on the planning strategy for designing in a historic campus. When the contemporary campus planning in China is focusing on the improvement of existed campus environment, it is helpful that the red-brick area should be renewed in small-scale, timely and cautiously.
