Based on the analysis of the book from the perspective of culture, this paper concludes that the garden art realm depends on garden aesthetic level of Ji Cheng. His aesthetic consciousness, aesthetic self-cultivatio-n is the cornerstone of garden art, and the aesthetic value is the generating source of the landscape gardening theory and gard-ening art creation.
