The Xiaoan tunnel of Xicheng railway passenger dedicated line has the total length of 13 430 m, and the useful life is about 100 years. This tunnel takes new Austrian tunnel-ing method to design and construct, set five work areas, and carries out the long tunnel bunt manner. In the construction m-anagement, the emphasis is on the excavation blasting by using the smooth blasting to control over-excavation and the diffic-ulty lies is the effective control of anti-collapse, gas spil , and explosion.
