The independence of the Central Bank is an important guarantee for it to exercise power, make decisions and take actions. Recently, it has become a consensus as well as a trend to enhance this characteristic. The article inquiries into the independence of the People's Bank of China by analyzing the Law of the People's Bank of China. This article also states the status quo and existing problems of its independence of PBC by making contrastive study with western countries and tries to find feasible solutions to the problems involved.
