This paper introduces the advantages and perform-ance of total-station instrument without prism, through the ex-perimental study and theoretical analysis of total-station with-out prism influence on the measuring range and accuracy in d-ifferent reflecting medium irradiated , provides theoretical ba-sis for application of future engineering practice.
