To advocate and promote green and low-carbon bu-ilding materials is the inevitable trend of era development, the requirement of sustainable development, the meaning of life c-onstructing environmental health. This paper analyzes the con-cept connotation, characteristics, function and application nec-essity of green and low carbon building material, and in the fo-undation of the green building material application, explorato-ry prospects future development of green building materials.
