Based on the teaching reform practice of CDIO teaching philosophy and taking the teaching practice of guidance course of statistics as an example, some specific measures based on CDIO teaching philosophy are presented in this paper. The abilities and qualities required in CDIO syllabus were regarded as the target of this teaching reform. The reform methods employed in teaching processing, such as the transformation of teaching philosophy, the improvement of classroom teaching, the cultivation of students' qualities, and the reform of evaluation criteria are discussed in hope of making a detailed plan for the future development of the guidance course of statistics.
