The use of nonlinear loads in power system make harmonic pollution,in order to solve the harmonic pollution, active power filter is used. This paper introduces the basic principles of active filter, and establishs a Matlab / Simulink simulation model and analysis. The results show that the active filter has good compensation characteristic.
