Traf ic accidents endanger people's life and prop-erty safety which not al owed ignoring. This article takes the main factors of traffic safety as the breakthrough point, disc-usses the main problems in the highway route design (along the line design, design speed and running speed) and put fo-rward the improvement measures in detail at the end.
