Wave buoy is a unmanned,automatic and common marine monitoring equipment. The research and application status of wave buoys made in China and other countries is introduced in this paper. The similarities and differences of two wave buoys respectively based on accelerometer sensor and GPS sensor were analyzed.This paper compared two methods of and differences.
