During the Ming and Qing dynasties, under the influence of Shanxi merchants’ culture, the business street is growing prosperity. This article analyzes the Shanxi culture and Shanxi spirit from the aspects of Shanxi traditional com-mercial street space form, and the pavement decorative arts, etc. in order to play a reference role to the development trend of modern commercial buildings.
