Based on an example of geotechnical engineering in Guangzhou Nansha District high-rise building site, analyzes the geotechnical characteristics, site hydrogeological condition of high-rise building. Combined with the actual situation, it analyzes and evaluates ground characteristics of construction site, and puts forward reasonable suggestions.
